Who we are

The InnovateX Academy is run by InnovateX Tech Solutions Pty Ltd ATF The Johnson Family Trust, based in Brisbane, Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect, and why

• Your email address: only if you give it to us through the join form. We use it to send you the opening email and Academy updates you've asked for. It goes into our own customer system; we don't sell it or hand it to anyone else's marketing list.
• Site analytics: we use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how people use this site: pages viewed, buttons clicked, rough location from your IP, device and browser type. It helps us make the site better. We don't use advertising trackers.
• Learning activity: once the Academy opens and you're using it, we record the type of device you access it from, the courses you take, how far you get through them, and your quiz scores. This is stored against you as a learner and, where your membership comes through your employer, against that business too. On a business plan, the owner or managers of your business can see reports on learning activity within their own business only, never anyone else's. InnovateX can see these records and uses them in our own internal reporting: to decide what content to create next, and to shape the additional services we offer the businesses we work with.

Emails

If you sign up, you'll get a welcome note, the opening email, and from time to time course updates, reminders and newsletter-style news from the Academy. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing works the first time. We send email through Resend, our email provider.

Where your information lives

Your details are stored in the cloud systems we manage internally and in our own custom operating platforms, along with the providers named above. We keep them only as long as we need them for the purposes described here.

Your choices

• Want your email removed? Reply to any email we send, or write to us, and it's done.
• Want to know what we hold about you, or correct it? Ask. Same address.
