THE WORKSHOP
What we’ll do
There’s a lot of hype, a lot of demos and a lot of bullshit about AI. This is a day to work on your business.
In the morning, we’ll look at your business priorities and where AI could make a difference. We’ll weigh up the value, effort and risks so you can decide what’s worth doing first.
In the afternoon, you’ll build and test two solutions from those priorities. You’ll do the work on your own laptop, with us there to help. You don’t need to be technical.
We’ll check what works, what needs your approval and what needs more testing before you use it with customers.
A quote builder that uses your prices and calculates GST. It’s one way to learn the steps, rather than a requirement that every business builds the same thing.

I run InnovateX Solutions here in Brisbane. We build software and help businesses put AI into practice.
I’ve spent 15 years in technology, working with small businesses, enterprise and government. These days I also work as a fractional CIO and Chief AI Officer.
On the day, I’ll sit down with you, work through the process and help when you get stuck. You bring the knowledge of your business.

We’ll start with where AI can help and what to be careful with. The afternoon is for building.

This workshop is in person and won’t be recorded.

Choose work worth doing
Look at how you use AI now and where it could help. Check what business information you can use and what needs a person’s approval.
- MORNING
Set your priorities
Compare the opportunities against your business priorities. Choose two to work on, with a clear reason for each and a way to check the result.
- AFTERNOON
Build it on your laptop
Build two solutions from the priorities you chose in the morning. Todd will help you work through the prompts and test the output.
- BY 4PM
Check your work
Test the output and write down the steps. Identify what you can use and what needs more work.

What you’ll need
Bring your laptop and be ready to work through the steps yourself. Todd will guide the build in the room.
A paid plan with access to Claude Code or Codex is required. That subscription is separate from the workshop ticket.

BOOKING QUESTIONS
Before you book.
What will I leave with?
The two solutions you’ve worked on, your build files and notes, plus the workshop prompts and worksheets. We’ll record what works and what needs further testing. A complex process may need more work after the day.
What if I’m new to AI?
You don’t need coding experience. You’ll follow guided steps on your laptop, with help in the room. You will need your paid Claude Code or Codex access ready before the day.
What does the ticket cost?
$999 plus $99.90 GST, a total of $1,098.90 AUD for one attendee. Your AI tool subscription is a separate cost.
What happens after I book?
You’ll receive confirmation after payment is verified, along with a calendar invitation. We’ll collect your preparation answers separately so you don’t need to write them while booking.
What if I can’t make it?
You can transfer your booking to another attendee. Cancellations more than 14 calendar days before the event receive a full refund. Within 14 days, bookings are not refundable. If InnovateX cancels, you receive a full refund. Read the booking terms.
Will you follow up afterwards?
I’ll check in after the workshop to see how you’re getting on with what you’ve built.
